Greetings!
I've acquired a Flex 5K and I'm interested in setting it up for remote operation. I really don't want to leave it 'On' all the time, but it's not obvious how to overcome the momentary push button on the front panel. Many other radios can be turned on either through software or grounding a pin on the radio.
My searches on this forum haven't found anything, but maybe I wasn't asking the search engine the right question. How have other folks solved this problem for remote operation? I saw something on a Flex forum about jamming a tooth pick in between the button and panel (!) to hold the button in and then just controlling the power supply. Not sure I want to go that route. Any other thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Remote Power Turn On for Flex 5000A
The Power ON signal is just a GND on an input of an I^C chip on the PA board. Luckily its OK to keep it grounded. So you could run a wire from the front switch out the back (maybe add an RCA jack on the back), then just short to ground when you want it to always boot up when powered.

Thanks Darrin. That might be a good solution for me.
