Just after the start up problem with PSDR Windows decides to give me win2004. Haven't seen the blue screen of death in a long time. Ever time I would make a change (PSDR) or even do something , big blue screen .I was getting PO'ed and going to go back to older ver but stuck it out on the first day. Next morning a update and things got better but still blue screens but not as frequent .Went about a day without one and this morning another big update. Hopefully things will get better. Has anyone else updated to 2004 and were there any problems?

I got an email from someone who also did the Win10 ver 2004 update and gets a BSOD whenever he touches a button on his DJ console.

Microsoft has reports of "driver" issues.

So I advise holding off on the 2004 update until they release fixes.

You can have windows uninstall 2004 and go back to ver 1909
Windows Settings->Update & Security->Recovery->Go back to previous version of Windows 10

I installed 20H2 win and it the blue screen problem stopped appearing. I downloaded the iso and did install from that ,not from windows update.I hope this takes care of the problem. I have tried every thing to get the blue screen and so far it hasn't appeared. But??? knowing Microsoft and there habit of fixing things that are working good this will probably change. The only thing is the driver for the sound card doesn't work so I had to come from the radio to powered speakers. No big deal, I'll work on the drivers later.
20H2 seems to work ok even on a older machine. Only thing is Microsoft thing of changing and moving controls around (control panel stuff for one).
How to Geek can help you out. They show how to get stuff back.
I'll let you know if anything changes. Thanks Walt N4RWW

Yes I have heard Win10 Ver20H2 appears to have fixed the Ver2004 Microsoft issue.

I have had one blue screen on the 20H2 and I think that was my fault ,I was shutting down in a hurry with the program in the title bar off and maximize.I forced the shutdown. I always got a blue screen in that mode with 2004. They did another update to the 20H2 and so far I have had none and I try to do something I did in 2004 that caused one, messing with sound always caused one and the title bar off usually caused one.
I never got a blue screen using the older flex program. So with all the extras in your program it might have been putting a strain on my older computer, DDR2 memory and intel 6800 processor. The older program was such a bore after using your program that I went back to my IC-7600 and my sdrplay with the uno program. That is a ok setup and I still use it some but I still like my flex better and now that it doesn't get the blue screen that's what I use most.
Thanks again for your effort in the flex program Walt n4rww

v2.8 definitely needs more horsepower, but I use PowerSDR v2.8 on a very old 4 core Dell laptop running Win10 x64 PRO ver1909 and have never had a blue screen. I use it mainly to test the Flex-3000 and Flex-1500.
A blue screen almost always means there is a driver, somewhere, that is not fully compatible. You can look through the windows logs and see what caused the crash. Usually when Microsoft updates the ver., drivers that previously worked perfect, can start crashing.

If you dont have one, I do recommend getting a Solid state hard drive.
