Modulation delay FT8 transmit

Post by kr0p »

Likely something I am not seeing but notice that over time while using FT8 the start of modulation will be delayed relative to start/key of transmit. Will appear to others that your clock is in error. Restart just the SDR software 2.8.0.170 and problem is corrected - for a while. Starting SDR software in administrative mode and running Windows 10. Any ideas thoughts to keep this from occurring? Thanks

Something in the VAC causes a lag. Not sure if its in PowerSDR or the Virtual Audio program. Its get noticeable after hours with the VAC enabled.
Hitting the Start/Stop button resets the lag. Someone reported that using VOX instead of the PTT (while using VAC) also keep the lag from appearing.

under the VAC1 (right click) I added a Reset VAC every hour checkbox, so if your having the lag issue try checking that box.
